Ice-scating in Nieuwkoop

After some successful scating last week with Surf, Today we did a tour with Ronald and Erik-Jan. Reasonable to perfect ice conditions made the 25km trip a wonderful afternoon in Nieuwkoop.

Today, Surf & I did some ice-scating about 10 km north of Utrecht in Molenpolder. We did a tour of 14km and ice quality was generally quite good.

Vandaag de finish van de Nederlands/Belgie wielerronde a.k.a. de EnecoTour (voorheen: Ronde van Nederland).

Finish op een kilometer van mijn huis dus daarom vandaag een foto van de winnaar, de Braziliaan Luciano Andre Pagliarini Mendonca (met zo'n naam moet je ook kunnen winnen...), net na ontvangst van zijn prijs.

Just bought some new skiing equipment. Perfect time of the year to buy yourself a bargain. Tested as a VIP top allround ski. Absolute not fitting together with my orange/red coloured skiing shoes, but who cares in Tiefschnee?

Of course, what do the experts say? Well this:

"Optimum tool for short swings, very balanced in curves. Maximum performance and rebound for a broad audience. Too aggressive for beginners, however."
